There’s a Scripture I want to use as the basis for this blog. 1 Peter 5:8 says, “Be alert, be on watch! Your enemy, the Devil, roams around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour” (GNT). One of the key words in this verse is “roam.” Roaming gives an indication of traveling from place to place. The point is that the devil is looking for someone to consume, someone to speak to, someone to lead. And we decree that because are filled with the Spirit of God, we will rid the devil homeless with no place to live in our hearts. We declare that only the Holy Spirit occupies us.
The way for our heart to remain full of light is to do what the Scripture says. “So then, surrender to God. Stand up to the devil and resist him and he will turn and run away from you” (James 4:7 TPT). Resisting the devil is to violently oppose him. We cannot be casual with the enemy. We cannot treat his lies and suggestions nonchalantly. We should not be flexible in our stance against what he offers. We must violently oppose him. Voices that are not motivated by the Holy Spirit desire to make us anxious, depressed, condemned, and defeated. The enemy desires to make us believe that God is not for us. Let’s get in position by putting on the whole armor of God so we can stand against the wiles (methods) of the enemy (Ephesians 6:10-17). Selah.

Amen. We must not allow our temple to become the home of the enemy. Great word!
